MEET THE CHEF
Like many people with a love of the culinary arts, I was introduced to good food in my grandmother’s Santa Barbara kitchen. Professionally, I became a firefighter, but have always maintained a love of cooking. I take great pleasure in creating a meal that is both delightful to the senses and satisfying for the appetite.
Michael D. Poole is an award-winning chef with well over 25 years of experience. He has 30 years experience as a firehouse cook for the City of Seattle, runs Sweet Jamaica concession, and has catered at many private parties.
Michael is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, Paris with Le Grande Diplome in Cuisine and Pastry. He specializes in French and Caribbean cuisines, French pastries, and artisan chocolates.
Chef Poole caters primarily in the Seattle Metropolitan area for private parties. He has also been called to cater on location around the U.S. His destinations have included:

- Santa Barbara, CA
- Fort Myers Beach, FL
- Yellowstone Park, WY
- New York, NY
Michael has had recipes published nationally and has won many awards throughout his career for his delicious soups, entrees, and desserts.

MDP Signature Chocolate Tasting, Sunday, December 18th
Chef Michael Poole will be hosting a Chocolate tasting Sunday December 18th from 11:00 a.m-3:00 p.m. 1215 Dexter Ave N, Seattle 98109 at the Dexter Lake Union Club House (Map & Driving Directions). There will be MDP Signature Chocolates to buy and samples to try. Hope to see you there!
MDP Signature Chocolates Takes The Gold at The Fall Luxury Chocolate Salon

Chef Michael Poole and MDP Signature Chocolates were awarded the Gold (First Place) for “The Best Caramels” at the Fall Chocolate Salon Tasting Panel Awards held in San Francisco, CA on November 13, 2011. The Judges said,
“The Lemon Meringue Truffle from MDP was like a bite of lemon meringue pie enrobed in white Chocolate!!“
